GOLF is fun…Isn’t it?

Golf, in my opinion, is one of the best times you can have. It can also be one of the worst. Playing golf is perfect when you are on the course with friends, you are loose and relaxed, the sun is shining everybody is a good mood and things are just clicking.

Have you ever had one of the days where the clubs just feel right in your hands? The ball is your friend. It goes wherever you want it to go. Remember how you felt like you had finally “gotten the game”? All the weeks, month and even years of playing and practicing had finally paid off. You were in the groove, the zone or whatever you want to call that elusive, magical mental space.

That is when you love, really love golf.

My Love of Golf and a Life of Crime

My love affair with golf and my entry into a “life of crime” started many years ago. As a small boy I lived near the Locust Valley Country Club in Attleboro, Massachusetts. My brother and I would watch the golfers play from the woods that separated our house from the golf course.

We watched the golf balls fly through the air and land where the golfers never intended! We would quickly run out and grab any errant balls that we could find, often leaving the golfers searching through the woody brush for their missing ball.  Oh, the frustration we caused (and the new language we were exposed too!)
